My name is Dawn Caffrey and I just love hummingbirds. I read somewhere that they represent happiness in Native American totems – and that’s precisely how they make me feel. Seeing them fluttering around my backyard always brings a smile to my face.
I started reading up on hummingbirds and how to best take care of them when I realized that I wanted to attract more of them to my yard. That’s when I learned about hummingbird feeders. I did some research on the best types of feeders and how to make my nectar solution, and before long I had a whole collection of feeders hanging in my yard. Along the way, I’ve also picked up a few tips and tricks for getting the most out of my hummingbird feeders.
I remember the first time I saw a hummingbird up close – it was just magical. They’re such tiny, delicate creatures and yet full of life. Just watching them flit around the yard is enough to make my day.
I started keeping track of how many hummingbirds I saw each day, and pretty soon I had so much information that I decided to start a blog about it. That’s how this website came to be. I wanted to share what I had learned about feeding hummingbirds, in the hopes that I could help others enjoy these amazing creatures as much as I do.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy reading my blog and learning all about hummingbirds.
